Rebellion (Lies) - Arcade Fire

Sleeping is giving in,
no matter what the time is.
Sleeping is giving in,
so lift those heavy eyelids.

People say that you'll die
faster than without water.
But we know it's just a lie,
scare your son, scare your daughter.

People say that your dreams
are the only things that save ya.
Come on baby in our dreams,
we can live on misbehavior.

Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Every time you close your eyes
Every time you close your eyes
Every time you close your eyes

People try and hide the night
underneath the covers.
People try and hide the light
underneath the covers.

Come on hide your lovers underneath the covers
come on hide your lovers
underneath the covers.

Hidin' from your brothers
underneath the covers,
come on hide your lovers
underneath the covers.

People say that you'll die
faster than without water,
but we know it's just a lie,
scare your son, scare your daughter,
Scare your son, scare your daughter.
Scare your son, scare your daughter.

Now here's the sun, it's alright!
(Lies, lies!)
Now here's the moon, it's alright!
(Lies, lies!)
Now here's the sun, it's alright!
(Lies, lies!)
Now here's the moon it's alright
(Lies, lies!)

Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!
Every time you close your eyes
Lies, lies!

Every time you close your eyes

Every time you close your eyes

Every time you close your eyes

Lies, lies!

This song is one of my favorites by the band Arcade Fire. It is about how people are not awake because mass media is putting us to sleep.

Euphoria - Loreen

Why, why can’t this moment last forevermore?
Tonight, tonight eternity’s an open door…
No, don’t ever stop doing the things you do.
Don’t go, in every breath I take I’m breathing you…

Euphoria
Forever, ’till the end of time
From now on, only you and I
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up
Euphoria
An everlasting piece of art
A beating love within my heart
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up

We are here, we’re all alone in our own Universe,
We are free, where everything’s allowed and love comes first,
Forever and ever together, we sail into infinity,
We’re higher and higher and higher, we’re reaching for divinity.

Euphoria
Forever, ’till the end of time
From now on, only you and I
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up
Euphoria
An everlasting piece of art
A beating love within my heart
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up

Forever we sail into infinity,
We’re higher, we’re reaching for divinity…

Euphoria, euphoria
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up
Euphoria….
An everlasting piece of art
A beating love within my heart
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up
Euphoria, euphoria
We’re going up-up-up-up-up-up-up

Outside there's a box car waiting
outside the family stew
out by the fire breathing
outside we wait 'til face turns blue
i know the nervous walking
i know the dirty beard hangs
out by the box car waiting
take me away to nowhere plains
there is a wait so long
here comes your man
Big shake on the box car moving
big shake to the land that's falling down
is a wind makes a palm stop blowing
a big, big stone fall and break my crown
there is a wait so long
you'll never wait so long
here comes your man
there is a wait so long
you'll never wait so long
here comes your man

A very Spanish designer

Adolfo Domínguez started a new generation of designers in Spain. He was born in 1950 in Orense, Galicia, one of many designers to come from that part of Spain. He has a fresh, new approach to Spanish fashion, and he has been very successful.
He studied design in Paris and then moved to London to continue his studies. In the early 1970s he took over his father’s fashion boutique in Orense. He spent the next few years developing his own designs. In 1981 he presented his clothing collection in Madrid. After that, things went very well for him.
He was the first Spanish designer to open his own shop in the Spanish capital. He called it Adolfo Domínguez. This was a success, and he opened shops all over Spain and abroad, including London. The company finally went public, which meant that anyone could buy a part of it if they wanted.
He makes casual, comfortable clothes, using loose, natural fabrics. His motto in the 1980s was: ‘la arruga es bella’ (wrinkles are beautiful) and this is still what he thinks today!

1 Where do a lot of Spanish designers come from?
____________________________
2 What job did Adolfo Domínguez’s father do?
____________________________
3 What was he the first Spanish designer to do?

4 What is a public company?
